Terms and conditions of use for webshop papergarden.fi (later online store or webshop).

Please enjoy staying at our garden of papers! Feel free to visit and stay at our virtual home, rummage through our virtual rooms to find treasures, have a nice cuppa and relax and we hope you feel the love we are trying to transmit through it all. We hope that when staying with us at our home, you also acknowledge the House Rules. So, to make your stay comfortable, please read our terms and conditions before ordering. The customer agrees to the terms and conditions when placing an order.

General information

The products are sold by Varalusikka (FI27528382). All prices include VAT when applicable. We reserve the right to change prices and shipping costs.

The trade relationship follows the applicable Finnish and EU legislation for consumer commerce, marketing and advertising.


The products are ordered primarily from papergarden.fi online store via the shopping cart.

All orders are confirmed by email and include the total price of the order, shipping costs and products ordered. To receive an order confirmation, a correct email address should be provided when ordering.

The online store does not guarantee that the products displayed on the website are available.

Ordering does not require registration. Possible offers can only be used for one order. Different benefits cannot be combined. A successful order is completed by an order confirmation, which is automatically sent to the e-mail address provided by the customer. It is recommended to keep the order confirmation. You can check the order details later in the order confirmation. Once the order is paid, it will be processed and the order can no longer be changed.

The online store has the right not to accept the order without stating the reason. The online store reserves the right to cancel the order also for obvious price errors. A clear price error means such a significant difference in the pricing of an online store and the correct price of the product that the customer is considered to understand the inaccuracy.

By purchasing from the online store, the customer agrees that the online store will send for the customer an e-mail regarding matters related to the order and delivery.

The customer agrees to the Terms and conditions and Privacy Policy when placing an order.


Processing time

We try to process your order in approx. 7-16 working days, excluding weekends, public holidays, and possible vacations announced beforehand. However, life does have a tendency to throw surprises at every possible turn, whether it be order rush, illness, or something else. Therefore, we kindly advise you to be prepared to wait for up to 3 weeks to your order.

If you need your order to be shipped more quickly, please make sure you ask us before ordering if we are able to expedite your order.

Please allow 5-7 extra days for custom orders. We’ll ship your order once all items in the order are complete or arrived.


Preorder items have all an estimated delivery time in their item description. Please note that this estimated delivery time is indeed an estimation, which is given us by our distributor, manufacturer etc. We cannot affect to the delivery time until the actual preorder items are arrived to us. Therefore, we are not responsible for any changes in the shipping schedule of the preorder items for reasons we cannot affect to.

If your order includes pre-order items, we will ship your complete order after the pre-order items have arrived. If you want the non-pre-order items in your order to arrive faster, please place two separate orders.

Combining orders

We usually do not combine orders. However, if we notice several orders from an individual customer when processing them, we try to fit them in as few parcels as possible to save your shipping costs. This isn’t always possible due to weight, height, or other reasons. We will refund overcharged shipping charges in either voucher code or as a refund to your PayPal account.



We ship worldwide from Finland using Finnish Posti.

The buyer is always responsible for the shipping. So please play attention to the shipping method you choose. Also, remember always to check that your email and postal addresses are correct and valid ones to the last puncture and detail, preferably with your phone number.

If you want a tracked shipping, you need to choose it as your shipping method. Otherwise your order will be sent as flat rate letter mail with no tracking available.

If you have chosen flat rate letter mail as your shipping method, we will send your order with no tracking, either on 2nd class economy mail or 1st class airmail. Sometimes the web shop system miscalculates the shipping cost downwards, in which case we ship your order via the economy class. Please inform us when placing your order, if you really need your order to be shipped via air mail no matter the costs. Either of these flat rate mail options does not include tracking of any kind.

Please note that Paper Garden Varalusikka cannot take responsibility for delay, loss or damage of your order by local postal services. Therefore, we strongly recommend using tracked shipping as your shipping method.

If your item is lost in the mysterious world of postal system, unfortunately we cannot refund your order. For valuable orders, we therefore strongly recommend choosing a tracked and/or insured shipping. Please note that in this case the parcel is on your responsibility too, but there’s at least a change to try to trace it with the tracking number.


All shipping costs are your responsibility.  If you want to exchange an item (that is eligible for it), you are responsible for paying shipping to send it back to us, and for us to ship the new item to you. 

Please note that all possible additional fees like customs etc. are your responsibility to pay. If you reject your package because you do not wish to pay these fees, you will not be refunded.

Estimated delivery times

We can give you only estimation of the shipping times, as these may vary considerably due to endless reasons, including the chosen shipping method (tracked parcels are faster than flat rate letters), postal strikes, custom delays… Also, if you live outside major cities, your order might take longer to arrive. Custom clearance procedures vary in different countries, as varies the whole postal procedures. 

Therefore, we cannot guarantee any specific shipping time and we kindly ask you to keep this in mind when ordering. As much as we’d love to, miracles are usually quite hard to maneuver. Thank you for your understanding. Here are some rough estimations based on experience:

  • To Finland: Anything from 2 working days onwards.
  • To Europe: Anything from 2 working day onwards, up to 3 months. (Average is 1-2 weeks.)
  • To overseas (outside Europe, including the US): Anything from 2 working day onwards, up to 3 months. (Average is 2-4 weeks.)

Special requests & Custom orders

We will gladly take custom orders and special requests. However, we recommend you contact us prior ordering. If you make a customized request, we will do everything we can to meet your request. However, we do not guarantee your request can be fulfilled. Therefore, we recommend you contact us prior ordering if you have a special request for altering an item.

Refunds & Exchanges

Please make sure you read the item description well before placing your order. If you have questions, please ask us before you place your order.

Once you have placed your order, it’s a final sale. We do not accept cancellations, exchanges, or refunds. If you should reject delivery, we’ll issue no refund. Please be sure to double check your order before submitting it. If you have any questions, please contact us prior to ordering.

If you want to return or change your product (and your product has a replacement or return license– which you need us to confirm), shipping costs are your responsibility and you have to contact us beforehand, within 14 days. You are also responsible for any costs incurred to us. Replacement and Return/Cancellation Rights do not apply to the custom order products, preorder products, monthly subscriptions, kits like theme kits, journaling kits etc., nor Paper Garden’s unique recycled / vintage-made products. All handmade paper Garden products like rubber stamps, stickers, journals, kits etc. are made to order / custom orders.

However, if you have questions regarding your items or order, please contact us immediately after receiving your order!

Modifications, errors or inaccuracies

We try our best to write as accurate item descriptions as possible. We have made every effort to display our products and their colours as accurately as possible. Please note that we can’t guarantee that the colours on your display will be accurate. 

Although we’ll try our best, there may occasionally be typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions relating to product descriptions, pricing, offers, availability etc. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions. We also reserve the right to change or update information or cancel orders if any information in the Service or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order). 

We undertake no obligation to update, amend or clarify information in our website. We undertake no obligation to inform about updates, modifications etc. in our website. Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the service or any part of it without notice at any time. We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the service. We reserve the right to modify the contents of this site at any time, but we have no obligation to update any information on our site. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor changes to our site.

Our handmade and other products are high quality products, but we don’t warrant that the quality of our products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations. Nor we can warrant that any errors in the Service will be corrected.

Immaterial rights, Copyrights & Angel policies

Varalusikka reserve rights to all its products. All Paper Garden items are designed and hand made by Varalusikka, unless otherwise stated. You may not use any of our products, or designs, parts of our products for commercial or retail purposes without permission.

The copyright to all Paper Garden products, images and designs belongs to and are property of Varalusikka Paper Garden and is not transferred with the purchase. Our copyright is protected by European and international copyright laws. 

The digital products and items in the subscription boxes are for personal, non-commercial use only.

You can of course use the items in any way you like for your personal crafting. You can also, for example, photograph your amazing projects you have made using our items, and post the photos on any social media, web, blog, etc. (We’d be very grateful if you could tag us when possible so that we can see your work, too!)

Let us explain the importance of this all in a short, plain way. All of our journals, stickers, collage prints, tapes etc. are always our own, original production, made from vintage papers of our own private collection along with our own art. We have spent days and weeks, even months creating these items for you to enjoy. So please, be kind and respect our copyrights.

For example, as simple act as uploading our scanned designs on websites & forums like Pinterest, for example, is strongly prohibited: by doing so you’d violate our copyrights.


We reserve the right to change our terms and conditions. Customers should familiarize themselves with the terms and conditions before placing an order.
